Good news for those of you who haven't yet been able to grab an authenticator -- the units are back in stock at the Blizzard store (for both the US and Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Latin America, with the EU version available over on their store)The price remains a cheap $6.00, and this latest version features art from Starcraft II.
This, now that I think about it, pretty much confirms that it will work not only with World of Warcraft, but all Blizzard games going forwardObviously, with Starcraft II not even in beta yet, hackers and scammers aren't exactly targeting it, but Blizzard is thinking ahead, so if you don't have the tech yet, now's your chance to pick it up (at least until they run out of stock again)The authenticator can protect your account while you are World of Warcraft Power Leveling.
And don't forget -- if you don't have an authenticator yet, but do have a compatible mobile phone, you can always pick up the Mobile AuthenticatorEspecially if you have an iPhone or an iPod touch, free is the way to go.
As July is coming to a close, Age of Conan's game director Craig Morrison has weighed in with his letter to the community for the monthThe biggest discussion point this time around is a new 'Guild Renown' system that will be introduced with the next major content patch, Update 6.
Guild Renown is a system whereby the actions of any individual player count towards their guild's reputationCollectively, guild members can level up their guild in three distinct categories to gain access to new guild rewards and bonusesThe system has two primary components, the Renown level, and also Renown rankings which place guilds against each other and measure your successes against those of other guilds on your server.
This system will allow members of a guild to contribute to its reputation on two separate scalesA guild's Renown Age of Conan Power Leveling will be increased by members earning Valor points (from PvE activities like questing and killing NPCs), Glory points (PvP) and Artisan points (crafting).
Higher Renown Levels will mean access to better guild city vendors and other bonuses -- even a brand new building type that Morrison does not elaborate on in this letter.
